Print Based

For my media course work I have decided to do print based on thrillers which I will create a DVD cover and a poster, because I feel like designing a poster will more suited to me because I have some basic photography and photoshop editing skills.

Row breaks out after four-year-old told not to wear hijab to Catholic school Source: Birmingham Mail A Roman catholic school has angered many people due to the fact that they didn't allow a four year old Muslim girl to wear a headscarf to school. It is said that St Clares school in Hemsworth have a very strict uniform policy which includes no headwear or headscarf's. The school told the parents to respect there policy. The girls father went and told the Birmingham's city council's labour cabinet member of equalities, which they then wrote to the head teacher saying how there policy goes against the equalities act . Lily Allen hits out at NHS cuts as she tells of daughter’s agonising wait in A&E after she was impaled on a railing in horror accident Source: The Sun Singer Lilly Allen talks about her daughter having to endure an agonising wait after being impaled by a railing on her neck. Lily Allen was told that the ambulance would take around 30 minutes to arrive; she told the news article that her daughter had fallen outside of the house and split her chin on the railing. “I called an ambulance and they said it would take half an hour. She says,  “It was a huge gash in a two year olds neck.  “At the hospital I asked: ‘where’s A&E for my daughter? They replied: ‘Just take a ticket and take a seat’. “My daughter had a hole in her neck. Boy, 13, found dead after moving from school at centre of 'bullying' row , 13 Year old Arin Lyth 15 year old Harry Gray Source: Mirror Arin Lyth was a 13 year old boy that had recently moved from Northfield school in Billingham, Teesside after being repeatedly bullied. He was the 3rd pupil at from his school to die after falling victim from the bulling the other pupils names were Harry Gray aged 15 and Elton Harland age 13. Harry Gray was found by his mother hanging from outside his bedroom. It was rumoured that someone had threatened to get him stabbed. The body of Arin Lyth was found in an area near Billingham. Elton tweeted a tribute to Harry and then when two days past he took his own life. I chose this story because I think that its horrible that people would bully someone so much causing them to take there own life, I think to myself what did these poor boys do to deserve such torment causing them to just give up on life.
