Row breaks out after four-year-old told not to wear hijab to Catholic school Source: Birmingham Mail A Roman catholic school has angered many people due to the fact that they didn't allow a four year old Muslim girl to wear a headscarf to school. It is said that St Clares school in Hemsworth have a very strict uniform policy which includes no headwear or headscarf's. The school told the parents to respect there policy. The girls father went and told the Birmingham's city council's labour cabinet member of equalities, which they then wrote to the head teacher saying how there policy goes against the equalities act . But his colleague Coun Majid Mahmood from Hodge Hill said that as a faith school St Clare’s is “maybe within its rights to insist upon a particular dress code,” just as a Muslim faith school “may require girls to wear headscarves”. Lily Allen hits out at NHS cuts as she tells of daughter’s agonising wait in A&E after she was impaled on a railing in horror accident Source: The Sun Singer Lilly Allen talks about her daughter having to endure an agonising wait after being impaled by a railing on her neck. Lily Allen was told that the ambulance would take around 30 minutes to arrive; she told the news article that her daughter had fallen outside of the house and split her chin on the railing. “I called an ambulance and they said it would take half an hour. She says,  “It was a huge gash in a two year olds neck.  “At the hospital I asked: ‘where’s A&E for my daughter? They replied: ‘Just take a ticket and take a seat’. “My daughter had a hole in her neck.   NHS 111 worker whose baby nearly died of meningitis says she battled doctors who told her it was 'just a cold' Alison Grocock mother of John grocock, became concerned when her 4 week old child became concerned when john kept on falling asleep and later became unresponsive. Alison immediately rushed baby john to the hospital she stated 'knew something was wrong'. Even though Alison and her husband explained the baby’s condition to the emergency department they waited hours to be seen. When baby john was seen by the doctors but they dismissed him with a cold but Alison still couldn’t shake the feeling that something was still wrong so she told the doctors that she wouldn’t leave the hospital until she had gotten a second opinion.
