Black man is washed whiter in China’s racist detergent advert. Source: The Guardian The advert shows a black man being washed in the wash machine by the Asian lady who shoves the liquid detergent into his mouth and places him into the washing machine which when he has finished being washed he comes out as a white Asian man, This ad literally shows a black man being washed white which is 100% racist in my opinion.  The Company for the racist detergent ad have defended there crazy content and have said that people have  just over reacted, they also stated “We meant nothing but to promote the product, and we had never thought about the issue of racism.” . The Huffington post has said that “Qiaobi Detergent Ad Might Be The Most Racist TV Commercial Ever Made.” I came across this ad while scrolling through my Instagram feed and when I watched it I was really shocked, because at first I thought that it was a joke because you can't advertise something so racist like this

There are a variety of shot sizes such as a long shot, very long shot, close up e.c.t these different shot sizes are used to capture different moments, for example as a extreme close up is used to capture detail such as facial expressions.  Mid shot- shows the surroundings and the detail of what the person is wearing from the stomach upwards. Shot size : Long shot                                             The long shot is used to capture the characters full body to maybe show how the character is running through the picture and It kind of sets the scene and gives us an insight of things to come in the actual movie. The main purpose of this Debenhams advert is to advertise there products , unlike the other adverts they   clearly show there products that they want to advertise where as the others show there products discreetly advertise there products in the background. I think the meaning behind this advert is to let people think that you wont

'One person said that I put them off eating chocolate' Disabled star of the malteasers  advert reveals how she was targeted by trolls Source: Daily mail 30 year old Samantha Renke revealed how she has been targeted by online bulling since being on the malteasers advert. Samantha suffers from brittle bone disease and has been wheel chair bounded. She stated that " I didn't expect that at age 30 I would be at the end of this hate speech. But I have been bullied for most my life". In an emotional blogpost for the Huffington post she reveals that she received some hate from twitter , which the tweet said : 'That midget freak on the advert is putting me off ever eating chocolate!' I chose this article because I think that the statement that has been made about how they were put off ever eating chocolate because they saw it been advertised by a disabled person is really disrespectful, because yeah she may be disabled but at the end of the day

New Zealand earthquake  Source of article : BBC News A Tsunami hit New Zealand's South island. The local people were warned and asked to head inland or for higher ground along the coast. A Tsunami which is also known as a seismic sea wave is a long, high sea wave caused by an earthquake or other disturbance and also due to the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a large lake. New Zealanders are used to earthquakes because the country is literally above the notorious Ring of Fire, the dots shown in the images show where earthquakes happen frequently and the volcanic eruptions that circles literally the whole entire Pacific rim.

For my media course work I have decided to do print based on thrillers which I will create a DVD cover and a poster, because I feel like designing a poster will more suited to me because I have some basic photography and photoshop editing skills.

Tesco Bank customers lose money to 'fraudsters' Source: BBC News Customers have been noticing that money has been going missing from there accounts which has left a numerous amount of complaints being made. The company have noticed the suspicious activity on some customer accounts. Tesco bank has stated that any money that has been withdrawn from there bank will be fully refunded within 24 business hours.    Alan Baxter has stated that 600 pounds disappeared from his bank leaving him with only £21.88 in his bank account. Many other customers have complained to Tesco bank about how they woke up one morning to learn that there money had just vanished into thin air. I chose this article because I feel that people should be more careful when it comes to money because luckily for these people they are getting there money back, which I only think that there giving the money back because there was a group of them that had there money taken out of there bank. 

My Characters name is Karrie Brooks. She is an 18 year old girl who lives a perfectly ordinary life with her mum her 3 sisters and her friends. Things start out great she gets a new house and her parents by her a new car for her 18th birthday which attracts the attention of one girl named Alicia Heart who becomes jealous of her. Karrie then begins experiencing dreams of Alicia getting killed in many different scenarios.
