Using your own detailed examples discuss the representation of contemporary issues in the media (30 mark)

The media is a huge part of people’s lives; people look at the media for some guidance and try to be like people they see on social media. In this day and age the majority of the population are apart of various different social networks; such as twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat the list goes on. We mostly see on the media a false representation of women with the perfect skin , perfect body and perfect lives, but what the media doesn't highlight is the fact that no one is perfect however the media has a way of manipulating young women's  minds which in some cases may lead to maybe suicide, eating disorders the list goes on. 

The other issues of contemporary issues in the media is the way the media have people focusing on what they think will make the most views and what would make the most money. The Tv series black mirror which is written by charlie highlights The fact that the society are too dependant over the media.

    Two good points and you remembered to add the source of the second example. Next time use a case study we have done in class.

    These are good choices for something to write about but they need to be a lot more detailed and specific to reach the higher grades, using CCCEO will help you to do so.

London zoo gorilla broke enclosure glass twice before escape I recently found this story from the Guardian about a gorilla called kumbuka that escaped the enclosure at London zoo on Thursday evening it was reported that he broke out of his area and was later tranquillised by the vets and was brought back to his area. It has been reported that the london zoo have said that they are going to carry out a full investigation which has been described as a minor accident. Sources have stated that the cage door was left open. I chose this story because I usually here about animals escaping the zoo in movies and to here that a real life zoo animal escaped the zoo is quite astonishing. I also think that the zoo keepers should be more careful and should make sure that they close the cage, luckily for them no one was hurt.
