Lilly Allen talks about her daughter having to endure an agonising wait after
being impaled by a railing on her neck. Lily Allen was told that the ambulance
would take around 30 minutes to arrive; she told the news article that her
daughter had fallen outside of the house and split her chin on the railing. “I
called an ambulance and they said it would take half an hour. She says,
“It was a huge gash in a two year olds neck.
“At
the hospital I asked: ‘where’s A&E for my daughter? They replied: ‘Just take
a ticket and take a seat’. “My daughter had a hole in her neck. You can’t
hold it against the doctors and nurses, it is not their fault.”
Lily
Allen then went on to talk about how the NHS has changed so much over the
years, she states how when she had her baby the midwife would come to see her
everyday, but since the cuts they rarely visited her.
I chose this story because the NHS cuts have become a big issue for the UK recently. The reason that there have been cuts on the NHS is due to the recent decision to take the UK out of the EU resulting in the value of the pound decreasing.
This
article is a representation of issues including neglect and NHS cuts.
Good, add why it would falls under that representation.
