Stacey Dooley - Girls Guns and Isis
In this Documentary we see Stacey Dooley go to the frontline with that Yazidi women. We see her risk her life going to shows us viewers how they live and how they have to fight for freedom. In this show we see the Yazidi women prepare to fight Isis along side the Men. In the documentary we see families tell heart breaking stories about when they where captured and tortured by Isis.
I think the target audience may be towards people that may want to join the war, people of the western world. Another potential audience may be Stacey Dooley fans who follow her work.
As for representation it's covers issues which are war, rape and extremism and also regional and national identity, gender and age.
I think the purpose of this documentary is to highlight the issues that the Yazidi women have to face and overcome, I think also they are trying to give us a indirect message that we shouldn't take life for granted and that people should complain about their minor issue because other people have it worse.
I found this documentary quite upsetting to watch because there where girls my age in there there that have been through so much and are willing to risk their own lives to take revenge on the people that killed their loved ones.
Make sure to proof-read your work for minor grammar mistakes such as "which Are war". It'd also go a long way to perhaps compare this to another of Stacey Dooley's works or maybe a different presenter entirely.
ReplyDeleteGood summary perhaps add some more depth to your representation and include examples of where this happened.
